How It Works

How The Program Works
What comes in the boxes?
We have three varieties of boxes: mostly fruit, mostly vegetable and a mix of the two. We also offer three sizes: small, medium and large. Small is $20. Medium is $37. Large is $50.
Where does the produce come from?
We try to source as much local and Georgia grown organic produce as possible, so that customers eat in-season for better health. We also get items from across the U.S. and occasionally, from outside the U.S., to offer our customers as much variety as possible. Produce is USDA certified organic. We also occasionally stock certified pesticide-free hydroponically grown vegetables that are not otherwise available organically, such as Bibb lettuce, arugula and watercress.
Is Big Organic Garden a year-round program?
Yes. Unlike CSAs, we operate year-round because we source from farms across Georgia, the Southeast and the U.S. for a greater variety of fresh, in-season produce.
Is there a commitment?
No. There is no commitment. You can order whenever you’d like affordable organic produce. But we encourage people to try a box and then get on a schedule so that you don’t have to remember to place your order and risk missing out on all the great food!
How do I join?
Fill out the Enrollment Form. Make sure to read the Terms & Conditions. You will receive an email confirming your membership and giving you a login password. You will need this password each time you order. If you forget your password, please email info@bigorganicgarden.com.
How do I know what will be in my box?
BOG orders its produce in bulk; that’s how we are able to offer such great prices. Every Sunday, a general “shopping” list of probable items for the upcoming week is posted to the website. If you like what you see, you may place an order by Monday at 10pm (we have a grace period so don’t panic if you miss this deadline). The final box assortment list is uploaded to the website on Tuesday (Buford) and Wednesday (Dacula) evenings. This list will tell you the exact variety and quantity you’ll get in your box.
How do I place my order?
When you are ready to order, click on the Place Order Now tab. Choose the size, variety and frequency of your produce box. You may choose to get your produce weekly, biweekly or “on demand.” If you select “on demand,” you will have to place an order each time you wish to purchase a box. If you select a schedule, we’ll track your orders for you and you do not have to order every time you’d like a box.
Additional non-produce items such as grassfed beef, pastured chicken, milk, eggs, etc., are also available.
You will receive an automatic email confirming your order.
How do I cancel or change my order?
Prior to the ordering deadline (Mondays at 10pm), you can modify your order by simply submitting a new order. This new request will supersede your prior order. Members on a recurring schedule who wish to suspend their box order should use the Order Change Form.
How do I pay?
If you authorized payment to your credit card, you will be billed the day before your pick-up/delivery. We ask delivery customers to use a credit card or PayPal – send money to mel@bigtimetea.com. Pick-up customers may pay via cash, check or credit card. Please make out all checks to Big Organic Garden or BOG.

Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes. The deadline for all changes and cancellations is Monday at 10pm.
What are the days/locations for pick-up?
We have two convenient locations: Buford/Sugar Hill (near Mall of GA) and Dacula (convenient to areas like Lawrenceville, Loganville, Grayson and Snellville).
Pick-up for BUFORD is 4 – 6pm each THURSDAY at 4450 Nelson Brogdon Blvd NE, Sugar Hill, GA. Please pay attention to our emails on Thursdays for any changes to this schedule, as occasionally our distributor’s delivery truck is delayed.
Pick-up for DACULA is between 12 – 1 and 4 – 6pm each FRIDAY at 2886 Edwards Estate Circle, Dacula, GA. Please pay attention to our emails on Fridays for any changes to this schedule.
What’s the best way to store my fruits and vegetables?
We recommend storing your produce using products like Debbie’s Green Bags or Tupperware FridgeSmart containers. We have also put together an itemized list of how to best store your fruits and veggies.
What if I don’t like something that is listed in my box?
Substitutions can be made at the time you pick up your box; requests are filled on a first come/first served basis. We ask that members limit their swaps to one or two items so that we have plenty for everyone. Delivery members cannot request substitutions at this time, but we put several “extras” on sale each week for you to add to your box.
What if I can’t make it on pick-up day?
If you order a box, you are expected to pay for it and pick it up. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur; if you have an issue, please contact us immediately at 404-375-3754 or email info@bigorganicgarden.com and we’ll try to accommodate you as best we can.
Do you deliver?
Delivery is available to select areas near our pick-up locations, for a small additional charge. Once you submit your Enrollment Form and check the delivery box, we’ll confirm that you are within our delivery areas and advise which day and approximate time your order will be delivered.
We ask that delivery customers leave a cooler with several ice packs in a covered area if you’re not home at the time of your delivery. If the cooler is not in plain sight of the front door, please leave a note telling the driver where it is. If no cooler is left, the driver will make one attempt to contact you. If contact cannot be established, the driver will bring your produce back to his/her house and you will be required to pick it up that evening. You will still be charged for delivery.
